Breast Contouring

Breast contouring are popular procedures, performed for medical and personal reasons (cosmetic surgery). Genetic predisposition on where fat is stored, as well as changes in the breasts with gravity, weight changes, pregnancy, and breastfeeding are common personal reasons for desiring a breast contouring procedure.

Insurance companies are mandated to cover breast contouring procedures when they are performed as part of breast reconstruction for cancer treatment. This includes breast lifts and breast reductions of a breast that did not have cancer to achieve symmetry with a reconstructed breast that was treated for cancer.
