Patient 8 Implant Capsular Contracture
These photographs show a patient with history of left breast cancer and radiation therapy and chemotherapy. She presented already having a left mastectomy and implant reconstruction with capsular contracture. The patient wanted the implant removed and a prophylactic right mastectomy. Her goal was the most natural feeling breast reconstruction, low maintenance, and a flatter abdomen. She opted for double diep flap breast reconstruction.

Below is the patient 6 months after a right prophylactic mastectomy, left implant removal, double DIEP flap breast reconstruction, nipple reconstruction, and tattooing. This picture was taken immediately after the tattooing and the pinkness of the tattoo will subside in 48 hours to a tan color.
