My experience with Dr. Julie Vasile began in early October 2011, during my quest to find the best of the best for my pending breast reconstruction. I was a 10 year breast cancer survivor, and after a failed attempt using saline implants, my sister-in-law Lauren, who is a nurse, did her homework, and found Dr. Julie Vasile.

From our initial three way phone conversation, we both felt comfortable and looked forward to consulting with her in person. The three of us met on Columbus Day in her office for about 2 hours. Dr. Vasile left no stone unturned. She explained every step of the process: beginning with the office consultation, to the end of my surgery, and recovery...We knew that day, we had the right surgeon!!

Dr. Vasile dotted every 'i' and crossed every 't' with regard to my pre-op testing. In fact, it was through one of those tests she recommended, an MRI, that cancer was discovered in my other breast...Right then and there, I adopted her as "my guardian angel". In my opinion, her thoroughness saved my life! Even with the new diagnosis, my faith in Dr. Vasile didn't waver. I knew I was under the best possible care. The plan now had to be realigned, and she did so with little disruption to me, taking into consideration my family and my fear and anxiety.

My surgery was in March 2012, and Dr. Vasile made sure my family and I were comfortable. She made sure my family was kept informed of my progress during the surgery. I have had many surgeries throughout my life, but Dr. Vasile is one of a kind- from her Knowledge and Expertise, to her bedside manner, thoroughness, compassion, and everything else in between. Feel comforted in knowing that you're in good hands, blessed by God.
